I was raised by old-ass WASPs who were dutiful parents but did not "do feelings". At age 92 my dad FINALLY said it to me on my birthday call. Six weeks later he had a massive stroke that almost killed him and he was never the same again. I cried hysterically for several minutes when we hung up the phone. The love was always there. So happy for you and your family! Keep the love going Jenny!

Thank you for sharing, and for teaching us it is never too late to learn to ask for what you need or to give affection! things can change do get better. Again, so sorry for your loss, Jenny and with dementia you lost over time in such a difficult way. I lost my (immigrant) mother recently and it throws everything off forevermore. Thisbis very sweet. Love that you captured the moment of your mom's love levelling up on film!
