What a week it was!

It is Friday, March 14th, 2025 or 3.14 as in Pi day - a day to celebrate math and science in America - or whatever is left of it. This week:

  • protestors around the world have helped to tank Tesla stock prices,

  • Columbia University protest organizer Mahmound Khalil has been unjustly kidnapped by the Feds,

  • some Democrats are siding with the unprecedented GOP budget bill to slash billions in federal funding for programs benefitting farmers, and the most poor and needy Americans,

  • Dump is expected to invoke the Alien Enemies Act that allows the president to detain or deport "natives" and citizens of an “enemy nation” so he can carry out mass deportations – the same act that was last used in WWII to force Japanese Americans in camps…

…and yet we still do not have national healthcare in America.

Today we have ARIJ MIKATI (the world's foremost expert on Muslim representation in media/narrative change and basically runs Muslim Hollywood. She is also an activist, host, writer, poet, and cutie.) and FRANCISCO CABRERA-FEO (a Gen-Z bisexual, bilingual, and bittersweet TV & Film writer/producer for Apple TV, Netflix, and Max where we met writing for Gordita Chronicles. He writes for the closeted chubby kids who wore t-shirts in the pool and were forced into Catholic school even if the body of Christ compelled them.) in the studio

And on today’s agenda we have:

  1. SHOUT OUTS

  2. Fasting for Ramadan is superior to “Healthy Diet” fasting - Jenny

  3. Why having a crush gives me the will to live - Fran

  4. No more free bags at Southwest Airlines - Arij

  5. Why “Ghosting” is sometimes okay - Fran

  6. That Love Is Blind Minneapolis lady who said no to the man at the alter because he was Trumpy - Arij

  7. Can someone throw theme parties for the party planners? - Jenny and Arij

  8. Why are all the Gen Zers on Blue Chew (aka, why are 21 year olds using viagra?)

  9. Jenny taught Gen Z Fran about Gen Z's terrible bar etiquette (Vox: Gen Z Doesn’t Know How To Act In Bars by Alex Abad-Santos)

  10. ACTION ITEMS

  11. HOW CAN WE SUPPORT YOU?

  • Arij: “Help me learn how to have a cute frivolous crush.”

  • Fran: “Keep inviting me to your parties and ask for support when you need to, Jenny and Corey.”

  • Jenny: “Share this Substack with your friends and become a paid subscriber!”
